Over time, I've weaned myself off sweet yogurt drinks and now crave yogurt's telltale tang. (If you're just starting down this less-sweet path yourself, use as many dates as you like, or drizzle in a bit of honey.) Lassis tend to be thinner than smoothies and milkshakes. This one goes down nice and easy.
To make: In an ice-crushing blender, combine 1 cup whole milk plain yogurt, 1 cup whole milk, 1/2 cup ice water, 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom, a few pitted dates (or sweetener of choice), and a big pinch of kosher salt. Blend until frothy. (Makes 32 ounces, enough for 3 to 4 servings)
